“Glee” star Naya Rivera ties the knot!

What a surprise! “Glee” star, Naya Rivera, got married to Ryan Dorsey on July 19th in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. The actress has been private about her personal life, especially since her engagement was called off this spring. Needless to say, the two newlyweds were really good friends in the past. They met four years ago after Dorsey moved to Los Angeles, where Rivera was currently staying. The bride wore a Monique Lhuillier gown, while her husband chose a Dolce & Gabbana suit. Naya carried a bouquet of daisies, and the couple exchanged vows, as well as Neil Lane rings.

“We feel truly blessed to be joined as husband and wife. Our special day was fated and everything we could have ever asked for.” said the happily married couple in an interview for People Magazine. “July 19th is also Ryan’s birthday, making this an even more joyous occasion.” they added. Ryan is also an actor, appearing on “Parks and Recreation” and “Southland”, and working with Mel Gibson for “Blood Father”, a 2015 film. He moved to Manhattan and later graduated from the New York Conservatory for Dramatic Arts, focusing on film and television technique.

The first half of 2014 was not easy for Naya. She got engaged to artist Big Sean in October 2013, but they ended their engagement in April this year. It was reported that she was also dropped from Columbia because of her debut single, which was recorded with Big Sean, underperforming. There were various rumours saying that Rivera has been fired from “Glee”. The actress and her fellow cast members denied this statement. “There is no truth to the rumor Naya has been fired from the show,” FOX replied to The Associated Pres.

Rivera was cast as Santana Lopez, a high school cheerleader, in 2009 on FOX’s musical show, “Glee”. She is known for her sarcastic remarks, amazing vocals and confidence, and the actress was glad to be given this part because she wanted to “sing, dance and act all in the same show”. With Naya finding happiness, there is no doubt that the good news is yet to come! She and the rest of the “Glee” cast are returning on FOX for a 13-episode final season.
