Chelsea Clinton gave birth to a girl

Former president of the US, Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton, former Secretary of State have finally become grandparents. Their daughter Chelsea Clinton gave birth on Friday to her first child, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky. She posted the big news on Saturday morning on Twitter, stating that she and her husband are very grateful and full of love, celebrating the birth of their first baby. Both parents are happy and proud.

Chelsea Clinton, aged 34, announced that she was pregnant in April at an event in Manhattan, together with her mother Hillary Clinton and her husband watching them from the back of the room. Hilary Clinton declared that she is thrilled that she became a grandmother and she wants to enjoy it as much as she can. It has been speculated that Mrs. Clinton will run for presidency in 2016 but now that the baby arrived, it could have effects on her decision.

Chelsea Clinton is the vice chairwoman of the ‘Bill, Hillary and Chelsea Clinton Foundation’. She is married to Marc Mezvinsky and they live in New York. She holds a B.A degree from Stanford University and two M.A degrees, one from Oxford University and the other one from Columbia University, the Mailman School of Public Health. She also achieved a D.P from the University of Oxford in 2014. She became a well-known figure since she was 12, when Bill Clinton was elected for the first time president of the US. Even though her parents tried to keep her away from publicity, that was not really possible.

As an adult, Chelsea managed to become comfortable with being a public person and she even campaigned on behalf of her mother, Hillary, during the 2008 Democratic presidential primary. She also gives paid speeches for the foundation for $75.000 each. All the money is then donated to the foundation.
