Nicole Kidman starring in new movie, Before I go to sleep

Before I go to sleep is Nicole Kidman’s new thriller movie, after Grace of Monaco in which she interpreted Grace Kelly. It’s written and directed by Rowan Joffe, based on S.J. Watson’s novel with the same name. The cast of the movie includes remarkable actors, besides Nicole Kidman, such as Mark Strong, Colin Firth and Anne-Marie Duff. Nicole Kidman is Christine Lucas who had a car accident which made her loose her memory. She wakes up every day not remembering what happened the day before. Luckily, her husband, played by Colin Firth, is there to explain to her what’s going on.

But every day, Ben being unaware of this, Christine receives a phone call from Dr Nash, played by Mark Strong. She is being told that she can find a camera hidden in the closet with videos explanatory of what really happened. Besides the videos, the memories come flooding back to Christine day by day and the truth starts to slowly unfold. Kidman delivers a variety of looks, mostly shocked and horrified, as demanded by situation and she manages successfully to convince us of the emotional roller-coaster she needs to board every day. Firth manages to do the same, from being fully encouraging to being fully evasive and back again.
