She was arrested, taken to a nearby police station and was found being under the influence of an undisclosed chemical substance.
The spokesperson of the California Highway Patrol has stated that the actress was observed speeding through a red light and stopping right in the middle of a T-shaped intersection. The officer spotting her suspected she is under an influence, and conducted a field sobriety test. After failing to pass the test, the actress was taken to the police station for further investigation. The actress was released several hours later on a bail of $15,000. According to the police spokesperson the tests to determine what type of drug the actress has consumed are still under way, but sources close to the actress say it was probably marijuana that she consumed before driving.

This is not the first time Amanda Bynes was involved in incidents on the road. According to police reports, she crashed into a Los Angeles Country Sheriff’s vehicle in 2012, and was involved in several hit-and-run accidents in the same year. Both cases were resolved in civil settlements with the victims. Also, Amanda was caught in the same year driving without a license. This year the actress has struck a no-plea deal for a DUI incident, for which she received a three-year probation, and instructed to attend a series of alcohol education classes.
