The latest news on the Washington school shooting incident confirms that the targets of the teenage criminal were not random. The reporters who have interviewed Snohomish County Sheriff Ty Trenary on Monday, quote: ‘’It’s our understanding he (invited them) via texting’’. This means that Jaylen Fryberg had built the entire scenario of a premeditated crime. Jaylen Fryberg invited them all to the same table so they would be within gunshot once he entered the cafeteria. The interviewed students and schoolmates of Jaylen Fryberg agree that the victims were no strangers to him, the group including friends and even relatives: two cousins.
What is more, Jaylen Fryberg appears to have sent a selfie of him holding a rifle to one of his ex-girlfriends. This gesture proves yet again the premeditation of his crime. Law enforcement officials declare that it is uncertain if the gun in the selfie is identical with the one used in the shootings.
Jaylen Fryberg opened fire Friday in the lunchroom at Marysville-Pilchuck High School. The teenage boy was no social outcast; in fact, he was quite the popular freshman. His shooting ended up killing female student, Zoe Galasso, on the scene and culminated in his suicide. Out of the 5 victims, Gia Soriano, 14, who has been hospitalized in critical conditions, died on Sunday. The girl’s family is torn with despair and suffering and after their daughter’s passing, they forwarded the following touching message to the crowds: ’’We are devastated by this senseless tragedy. […] Gia is our beautiful daughter and words cannot express how much we will miss her’’.
Other two victims, Shaylee Chuckulnaskit, 14, and Andrew Fryberg, 15, are both hospitalized in critical condition. Andrew is one of Jaylen’s cousins chosen among targets in the shooting. The second cousin, Nate Hatch, 14, is still hospitalized, but his condition has stabilized as he is making progress. According to the words of Nate’s grandfather, Don Hatch, the boy is feeling much better and desires to inform the world that he will be OK. Besides, on Monday morning, Nate was already walking with the aid of a nurse, his grandfather confirms.
