Bill Cosby facing serious allegations

Bill Cosby’s image as a jolly father figure is being slowly taken apart by all the accusations brought against him. Bill Cosby is being accused of a great number of women from his past of having drugged and sexually assaulted them. The star has denied these accusations, however the media and the public seem to have already judged him. His entire career is taking a turn for the worst. Bill Cosby has never faced charges for these accusations, although these allegations have been around the news for more than a decade now. Bill Cosby was given numerous chances to talk about these allegations in public, however he managed to cause more fuss on the matter. He either provided awkward moments of silence or simply told reporters he was not willing to talk about the subject.

Some of the women who talked about the sexual assaults are Andrea Constand, Joan Tarshis, Tamara Green and Janice Dickinson. All of their stories describe a similar action pattern. All of them say they went on dates or meetings with Bill Cosby and were drugged. Andrea Constand was 31 years old when she was assaulted. She was a staffer for a women’s basketball team. She said that Bill Cosby gave her medications which made her dizzy. Later on, she woke up and realized her bra was undone. She did not press any charges against the star, because she finally settled a civil suit with Bill Cosby. Joan Tarshis was 19 years old in 1969, when it all happened. She met Bill Cosby in Los Angeles and said that they went back to his bungalow. He prepared a drink for her, and afterwards she remembers only waking up on his couch: “I was sickened by what was happening to me and shocked that this man I had idolized was now raping me. Of course I told no one”.

Tamara Green, who is now an attorney, had a similar incident with Bill Cosby. Back in 1970, when she was a young model, she went on a working lunch with the star. Because she had a flu, Bill Cosby gave her two capsules. She said that at first, the pills made her feel great, but after a while, they made her pass out at the restaurant. Cosby took her back to her apartment. She added that he began groping and kissing her. Before leaving, she said he left two $100 bills on her table. Janice Dickinson met Bill Cosby in 1982. They had dinner and he gave her wine, as well as a pill for menstrual cramps. “The last thing I remember was Bill Cosby in a patchwork robe, dropping his robe and getting on top of me. And I remember a lot of pain”, she said.

Because of all these stories surfacing, Bill Cosby’s career has been seriously affected. Netflix, NBC and TV Land have all dropped any collaboration with Bill Cosby, without giving any arguments for their actions. The “Bill Cosby 77”  show was supposed to air this week, however it will not premiere the next day after Thanksgiving as planned. NBC decided to drop their project with Bill Cosby: “We can confirm that the Cosby project is no longer in development”. TV Land even removed the “Cosby Show” from their website.
