Better Call Saul will have a big debut

It seems only fitting for the Breaking Bad spin-off intitled Better Call Saul to get such a strong start considering its original counterpart success. It’s been revealed that AMC will debut the show with a two night event. The first episode of Better Call Saul will air on February 8 at 10. p.m. while the second episode will follow the day after at the same time. This is a very normal and smart step from AMC’s part as the two day premiere will no doubt bring millions of viewers to watch Saul Goodman’s lawyer escapades. After the debut, Better Call Saul will air normally on a weekly basis.

Before Better Call Saul, there was a little show called Breaking Bad, and with that show followed critical acclaim. Breaking Bad told the story of Walter White, a chemistry professor that was diagnosed with inoperable lung cancer, something that’s pretty much a death warrant. Knowing that he will soon die, our professor starts using his chemistry skills to make metamphetamine in order to secure a future for his family. The show’s creator Vince Gilligan received praise for his superbly written characters and unexpected twists, being regarded as one of the best TV shows to date. Imagine the hype behind Better Call Saul. The story for the spin-off will follow the endeavors of James McGill, who would later adopt the persona of Saul Goodman and detail his struggles before teaming up with Walt.Bob Odenkirk’s Saul had a supporting role in Breaking Bad and seeing that the lawyer gave the drama a dash of humor, it will be interesting to note how this will transfer to the spin-off. Jonathan Banks will return as Mike from the original show.Other actors who will be appearing are Michael McKean, Patrick Fabian, Rhea Seehorn and Michael Mando.

Creator Vince Gilligan will also executive produce along with Peter Gould. The first season of Better Call Saul will consist of 10 episodes and AMC appears to have very high hopes for this show as the network have renewed it for another second season  that is slated to air in 2016. Bob Odenkirk will reprise his role as Saul Goodman in 2015 so be ready for a potential Walter White cameo.
