Fantastic Beasts script by J.K Rowling is done

Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them is that movie that every Harry Potter fan is waiting for. The script for the spin- off/ standalone to the beloved series has reportedly been finished and it is, in producer David Heyman’s words: “Beautiful”.At a press conference for the film Paddington, the Potter producer praised J.K Rowling for her excellent script and confirmed its completion. The author of the best selling franchise was announced to be working hard on the script in October. And a film set in the Harry Potter universe is not complete without a director that knows wizard lore so expect David Yates, the director of the last 4 Potter films, to make his return.Yates has been busy ever since he finished his wizard run and is now currently working with Warner Bros. to bring a new Tarzan movie to the big screen.

The Story of Fantastic Beasts is set 70 years prior to the events of the first Harry Potter movie and will revolve around Newt Scamander as he sets out to document all of the magical creatures of the Wizarding World, starting with New York. J. K Rowling dismisses the idea of Fantastic Beasts being a prequel to the Potter franchise and considers it “an extension to the wizarding world”.The film is just one of a planned trilogy so we will be seeing a film coming out every two years until 2020 if the dates remain unchanged. The world of Harry Potter is rich in detail and settings and is practically begging to be poked at and it’s great that the movie industry acknowledges this and gives it a chance.

Heydey Films is Heyman’s production company that was responsible for producing the 8 Harry Potter films and will also take Fantastic Beasts under its wing as if they’d want to keep the tradition alive. Heyman states that the movie is at its early stages and will start filming next year.No actors have been announced yet and we’ll probably not be seeing cameos of the original cast either due to the story’s setting. The first Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them will premiere in November of 2016 and, judging from the players involved in its making, we’ll most likely get something magical.
