Galaxy Core Prime specs leaked online

The Samsung Galaxy Core Prime is next in line in the Core portfolio from Samsung. Even though the company stated that it would be cutting back on its smartphone models starting 2015, it seems Samsung still cares for their various devices, including the Galaxy Core Prime. Specs for the Galaxy Core Prime have leaked online through the FCC and show off a 64 bit enabled smartphone.

The Galaxy Core Prime, model number SM-G36OP is being called an entry-level smartphone with pretty average specs. Based on the FCC leak, the Galaxy Core Prime will be compatible with Sprint LTE, but rumors say Boost Mobile will be the first to carry the new phone. Galaxy Core Prime specs include a 4.5 inch LCD display with a 480*800 resolution. Supposedly, the handset will include a 64 bit Snapdragon 410 CPU and 2 GB RAM. Since the Galaxy Core Prime is an entry-level device, most rumors and the FCC leak suggest a 5 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front shooter, which is not an impressive camera setup, but should do for those of you who need a phone rather than a 3 in 1 device.

The Galaxy Core Prime will be launched with Android 4.4.4 KitKat, but since we do have a 64 bit architecture CPU, we suppose an Android 5.0 Lollipop should end up running on the handset shortly. An exact release date for the Galaxy Core Prime hasn’t been disclosed, but since the specs have already popped up at the FCC, it is safe to say the phone will probably be launched before the year 2014 comes to an end. For those of you who find flagships like the Galaxy Note 4, LG G3 or iPhone 6 too much and too expensive, the Galaxy Core Prime would be a nice option. Truth be told, the low resolution on the display might put people off, since we are getting more and more used to high def displays. Pricing details haven’t been revealed for the Galaxy Core Prime either, but Samsung shouldn’t price this phone above $200, in my opinion.
