Star Wars does not need any introduction. It’s status in pop culture can be regarded as royal. We have 6 episodes worth of cool Jedi vs. Sith battles and Force shenanigans. While the 3 prequel films did not do such a great job of continuing George Lucas’s legacy, they were still good enough not to break the cinematographic beast that is Star Wars. After Disney bought the rights for the next installments, we didn’t know what to believe. Then we heard that J.J Abrams( Stark Trek, Lost) will be directing the seventh episode and we all put our hype caps on and patiently waited.Old characters from the original trilogy then started to confirm their appearance and after that we were all on the excitement train.A little while ago J.J Abrams announced that production for his movie had finished and then we got the tagline for it: The Force Awakens.
It seems, however, that a trailer will be incoming this Friday in 100 select theaters from across the US. Well, 90 seconds worth of trailer but still. If you’re unlucky enough to not be near one of said theater then you can watch it online.A tweet from the official Star Wars VII account announced that the teaser trailer will also be available on iTunesTrailers. So we’ll all get that Star Wars fix we crave. I wonder how much movie they can cram in just 90 seconds ? Will we see some characters? Or maybe the Millenium Falcon? Judging from what teasers usually do, we’ll probably hear the famous soundtrack from the originals. That may be a certainty. The recently launched Jurrasic Park teaser trailer did a similar thing. You can check out the trailer on November 28.
Star Wars: The Force Awakens will reunite Mark Hammil, Harrison Ford and Carrie Fisher and we will also see new actors joining such as Oscar Isaac(Inside Llewin Davis), Daisy Ridley(Mr. Selfridge) and Domhnall Gleeson(Harry Potter), Gwendoline Christie(Game of Thrones) and Lupita Nyong’o(12 years as a slave). The movie is slated to premiere in 18 December 2015. Until then we’ll still need to see the full trailer and surely more info will follow. For now, may the Force be with you.
