With Thanksgiving upon us we can’t help but think who would be the most entertaining characters from our favorite series that would make our day a better one. Some would be extremely mannered while others would be just right for some fun.Sure, we could have the actors who portray these icons over but it wouldn’t be the same. Know that these TV characters can’t possibly leave their medium without breaking reality but that is not an excuse for us to dream. After all, we would all love a good conversation with someone who doesn’t exist. This does not apply to Thanksgiving only, but to all types of get togethers.
1. Rick Grimes and gang (The Walking Dead)
The Walking Dead world can be a little overwhelming for most of us mainly because of the shortage of food and the multitude of roaming corpses. Nevertheless, this make shift family is not going to be picky when it comes to home cooked Thanksgiving dinner and may prove a valuable asset against the living dead. Just don’t mention cannibalism at the table. Rick Grimes isn’t enough for a good experience as he needs his whole group including his son, Carl, and the other TV characters such as Glenn, Maggie and of course Daryl.
2.The Whites (Breaking Bad)
Walter White enjoys cooking but not the way you’d expect. Also, if you want to avoid the inevitable awkwardness between Skylar and Walter, you should put them at opposite ends of the table just to be sure. And have lots of water with you. Jesse Pinkman knows best when it comes to having a Thanksgiving dinner with the Whites.
3. Louie C.K (Louie)
If you want a good chuckle at the expense of a comedian’s bad luck, then Louie is the best way to spend your Thanksgiving. Also, he’ll bring his daughters along but don’t worry. They make everything way funnier. Don’t expect a whole lot of conversation, though, as he’s not the best guy to make small talk with.
4. Ichabod Crane (Sleepy Hollow)
What better way to have a traditional Thanksgiving dinner with someone who actually knows the proper ways of attire and arrangement at the table? Ichabod Crane would probably correct your every mistake but know that it’s for your own good. Plus, if you like history enthusiasts and well- mannered folks at you dinner table, then he’s the perfect fit.
5.Sherlock Holmes (Sherlock)
A detective is always cautious and would not eat much but, considering his insane level of intelligence, Holmes would probably make you question your eating habits and would criticise you to the point of leaving your own house. You shouldn’t worry much because Sherlock Holmes can warm up to you in a couple of hours or so. It’ll be worth it after that.
6. Frank Underwood (House of Cards)
If you want your food to be properly cut and distributed in an evenly manner, you should have Frank Underwood over for Thanksgiving dinner. The machiavelian character will most probably lie to your face if you ask him about your cooking skills but know that he wouldn’t be in your presence if he didn’t consider you a threat for his well-being. That’s kind of like a compliment. Just don’t be alarmed when he starts talking to nothing after he finishes a sentence. He is scheming something fierce.
7.Eric Cartman (South Park)
Cartman is an odd pick for a guest at your Thanksgiving dinner table but who wouldn’t like the world’s most popular South Park character to be sitting next to you? Cartman may be ill mannered and would probably eat your meal in front of your face without a second thought but would you object? Knowing that a cartoon is eating your meal and cracking jokes at the same time is a wonder in itself.
8.Tyrion Lannister (Game of Thrones)
Tyrion Lannister would not need much to eat, but you should consider having lots of wine. The Game of Thrones character is considered by many to be one of the most interesting and complex characters in a TV show not to mention someone who loves to drink. Consider placing his plate closer to him.
9.Ron Swanson (Parks and Recreation)
The only person in this list who enjoys a good steak and a glass of whiskey. This TV character is known for his sarcasm and overall manliness, but if you like meat as much as he does, then you’ll be right up his alley. Don’t bring up the government, though.
10. Hannibal Lecter (Hannibal)
Yes, this may not appear as the most tame choice, considering the character’s background, but he compensates with a number of things. For instance you won’t need to cook as he’ll probably invite you over to his house. Hannibal won’t just entertain you with his cuisine skills but he’ll most likely be the best Thanksgiving host you’ll ever see. Bryan Fuller’s take of this pop culture icon is regarded by critics to be just as cunning and subtle as his movie counterpart.
