The 24th anniversary of James Bond will start with a bang and that bang will come in the shape of the agent’s new movie that has just now been given an official name. Seeing as Ernst Stavro Blofeld will be James Bond’s new enemy, the movie is appropiately titled Spectre, the terrorist organization of our villain. Aside from the official title, Pinewood Studios have also shared its official cast. The stars are fitting for a James Bond flick and the details of the plot are enticing.
During the press conference held in London, director Sam Mendes has announced that alongside Daniel Craig, other actors from the previous movies will be returning such as Ralph Fiennes, Naomie Harris, Rory Kinnear and Ben Whishaw. Sure, this is all too exciting and it was to be expected but the new additions to the cast are truly great. For a while we thought that Christoph Waltz will play Blofeld but it seems that the actor will instead be skiing professor Oberhauser.Next up we have Monica Belluci(The Matrix) as Lucia Sciarra and Lea Seydoux(Inglorious Basterds) as the next Bond girls. Andrew Scott who is most recognized for Moriarty in Sherlock will star as “Whitehall newcomer Denby”. Last but not least there is Guardians of the Galaxy’s Dave Bautista as Mister Hinx, a character that will, no doubt, be a sight to see.Shooting will begin on Monday as the movie will be filmed in London, Rome, Mexico City, Morroco and Austria. As for the plot for James Bond’s new venture it reads something like this: “A cryptic message from Bond’s past sends him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation. While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre.” Sure is curious to see who will play Blofeld though. If it’s not Waltz then another high caliber actor needs to take his place. Sam Mendes has also revealed James Bond’s new car which will feature in Spectre and, I’ve got to say, the Aston Martin DB10 fits the agent in all sorts of ways.
We also have new people on the production team as well.Cinematographer Hoyte an Hoytema, most known for Interstellar, will lend his skills for Spectre. Veteran Bond scribes John Logan, Robert Wade and Neal Purvis are also set to return. Judging from how the movie is shaping up, Ian Fleming would be proud to see what James Bond has become. Spectre is set for a November 6 2015 release.
