Axl Rose, Guns’ N Roses lead vocalist, was found dead on Tuesday afternoon in his West Hollywood home, or at least this is what a now viral internet article states. Fortunately, the news is nothing but a hoax, and the rock front man is safe and sound and replying via Tweeter to the prank. Anyway, it is interesting to notice how many fans fell for the joke and transmitted on various social networks their R.I.P. messages. No worries, Axl Rose is not ‘’Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door’’, not just yet.
The untrue message of Axl Rose’s death was made public by MSNBC, or this is what the article in question only implies. A Consequence of Sound remark on the matter advises readers: ‘’If you look close enough at the website’s URL, you’ll notice it’s missing a ‘.com.”, and that is obvious at a first glance. On the other hand, the title of the article: Sources: Guns N’ Roses Frontman Axl Rose Found Dead in West Hollywood Home at Age 52 is bewildering and does not give the reader enough time to notice any other inaccuracies. Even more deceiving is a quote apparently belonging to a Hollywood Police spokesperson: “The home was entered by police through an open back door where a body was found in the foyer area. We have found no signs of abuse or foul-play and have turned the case over to the coroner’s office to make a final ruling on the cause of death”. Anyway, there is no connection whatsoever between the dummy article and the real MSNBC American news channel.
The falsity of the article was best proven by Axl’s Tweet, which debunked the argument of his announced death. Yesterday, the singer-songwriter replied via a Tweeter post on an ironic tone: ‘’If I’m dead do I still have to pay taxes?’’ The black humor of the artist is obviously underlined by the reply and his stinging message does not only approach those fake journalists, but also the governmental system and its asphyxiating load of taxes. You know what they say: ‘’In this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes’’. What is now certain is that the Guns’ N Roses artist is still in the capacity to present to his fans future musical projects or make stage appearances. as he has most definitely not passed away.
