Drawn to Death is the new game David Jaffe had been talking about a while back. The creator of Twisted Metal and God of War had said that he was planning to launch a game that looked like it would be a horror game, but it would eventually end up being an action game. Now, we have confirmation that Jaffe was talking about Drawn to Death.
David Jaffe announced Drawn to Death at the PlayStation Experience event during the keynote. Drawn to Death will receive fan contributions after the fan event. Jaffe also declared that the game is in the very early stages of development, but eventually we should see it land on the PlayStation 4. Participants at the event were also treated to a lengthy gameplay trailer which showed off game modes and characters, weapons and different scenarios, all in a hand-drawn 3D environment.
Drawn to Death is a quirky action game where you bring drawings to life in a 3D world. A multiplayer feature as well as multiple different drawed characters will be available for play. The game trailer shows us a fun third person shooter which centers around a graphical design that might be confusing at first, but once the game passes the “pre-alpha” stage as Jaffe calls it, we’re sure it will end up being something between Fallout New Vegas, Borderlands 2 and the uniqueness of Twisted Metal and its creator. We’ve no release date for Drawn to Death, but hopefully the game will be finished by mid 2015. Since we were overly impressed by Twisted Metal as well as God of War, we expect a lot from David Jaffe and Drawn to Death. We are also pretty sure that the creator will not disappoint and will treat us to a unique game which calls for days of snacks and soft drinks, as well as a week-long sick leave from work.
