No official word from Samsung has been given yet with regards to the new Samsung Galaxy S6 release date. If some thought is given though, Samsung has a one year product cycle and we should be expecting the new Galaxy S6 next year. Some possible rumors go to suggest that it might either happen at CES 2015, at the begining of January, or more likely at the MWC between March 2nd and March 5th. Nevertheless it will not go on sale at least until April, as was the case for both the Galaxy S4 and Galaxy S5. As prices go, no pertinent information is available, though if we consider the advancement in specs and a possible premium build a rough estimation should be no higher than 1000$.
Design wise, some structural improvements should be noticeable for the Samsung Galaxy S6, if we are to take into account rumors from Samsung’s supply chain. The Samsung Galaxy Alpha and the Note 4, as well as the Galaxy A line are considered to be test-drive models for the metal frame design, with the Galaxy S6 hopefully being the full-metal experiment. A sneak peek to the Samsung Galaxy S6 model is made available by Dutch website Top Tien Mobiel. The photos of the Galaxy S6 were sent by an anonymous source. The would be image of the S6 presents a new design with very thin edges, while the front-facing camera is placed above the handset.
The screen on the new Galaxy S6 will probably get a resolution boost, considering the 2560 X 1440 on the Galaxy Note 4. As such, we should expect to see an increase of similar values on the new Galaxy S6. As a matter of fact, Samsung stated previously that it has high hopes of designing smartphone displays with 3840 X 2160 resolution by 2015. There is a possibility to see such a far-out step, from 2k to 4k, but considering that the launch date is due early this year, chances seem slim for the Galaxy S6.
