Nvidia Shield Tablet: To game or not to game?

The specs and design for the Nvidia Shield Tablet make it a real competitor on the Android tablet market. It is designed for gamers, but why shouldn’t all tablet fans get a look at this new nut? It is among the few 8-inch tablets that run Android.

By design, the Nvidia Shield Tablet is by all means not that small, despite the fact that it weighs only 388 grams and measures just 9 mm in thickness. The feel on this little monster is that of sturdiness, even if its encasing is only plastic and without metal framing. The extra mms in thickness made it possible for Nvidia to pack in some more ports around the sides for the Nvidia Shield Tablet, most of which you wouldn’t find on a regular device. Among these we count: a MicroSD card slot, SIM slot, headphone jack, mini HDMI outpout and Micro USB. Also, it comes equipped with a stylus for those in the mood for sketching and making notes. The looks on the Nvidia Shield Tablet are simple and elegant, a matte and rubber-like black. The two speakers are placed at the front alongside with the camera.

The display on the Nvidia Shield Tablet hits the bulls-eye with a 1920 x 1200 Full HD resolution on the 8-inch screen. Colors appear very life-like on the tablet, and you can also plug it into a 4k screen for even more awesomeness. The tablet runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop and it is a nice view. The company decided to add some gaming apps to the menu for those in need of them. The Nvidia Shield Tablet offers 16 GB of internal storage backed up by a MicroSD slot.

Nvidia made it clear that it wants to be up on top. The Nvidia Shield Tablet comes packing a Tegra K1 chip, quad core running at 2.2 GHz and 2 GB of RAM as to make one of the top sharks in the ocean. Regarding all the pluses that this punch-master gets, it’s no wonder gamers and tablet fans alike are staring at it with those puppy eyes. Nice tablet and nice attitude overall, big props to Nvidia for delivering such a nice device for just $300.
