The Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro is just one of those jack-in-the-box kind of devices we got to see unveiled at CES 2015. Like a veritable clown, its multicolored design sparks a giggle on your face, and its high-end features make it a device worth looking out for.
Going out of the comfort zone on the design is for many companies a big NO-NO! But Lenovo made a big step upwards in un-conventionality with the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro. The handset features three-layered coloring, a delight for the eye, one might say.
Apart from the apparent jiggly look on the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro, the manufacturer put some effort into the design. It is all around a premium, full-metal encasing with that tri-layer which comes in some nice, vibrant color options. It is most likely a dream come true for childish grown-ups fond of multi-colored bubblegums, and I can count myself as one of those. It might be a bit of a stretch to assume that everyone will like it, but you can’t please everyone can you?
The specs on the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro aren’t anything to frown at either. One might notice that the device packs a nice, Full HD, 5.3 inch, IPS display at 1920 x 1080. A sneak peek under the hood of this colorful rascal shows a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 octa-core, with 4 cores Cortex-A53 running at 1.5 GHz, plus 4 x ARM Cortex-A53 at 1 GHz… hubba, hubba. The rest of the under-the-hood show gives a 2 GB RAM memory option, while the storage features just one variant, 32 GB, backed up by a microSD card slot that can go up to 128 GB. Not that generous on those options ey?
The Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with the Lenovo Vibe UI. It packs dual nano-SIM slots and a 4G LTE modem that can boosts up to 150 MB/s download speed, two of the most worth-mentioning features. The camera assembly on the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro is something to take into consideration, as it features 13 MP sensor on both the front- and rear camera, while the back one comes equipped with an LED flash. With that in mind…. Selfies anyone?
The size on the Lenovo Vibe X2 Pro is pretty neat. It measures just 146.3 x 71 x 6.95 mm, and weighs in at 140 grams; quite the lightweight fighter. The battery on this small beast is at 2.410 mAh, not really the most high-end. The pristine looks on the phone though will come at a price, $500 full retail cost, with no availability in the U.S., sadly. Keeping all that in mind, will this be a phone of choice for the audience, or will it slip under the radar? Hopefully not!
