Ant-Man is one more Marvel movie waiting to hit theaters in 2015 and now the full-length trailer of the motion picture is available to watch. With Gambit’s release date being settled just a few days ago, the Ant-Man trailer gives Marvel fans more and more cinema-going choices. The beetle-hero may not be the favorite character of most of the fans, but any Marvel Comics’ admirer will be interested to watch at least the newly released trailer, if not the entire movie.
Last week, a shorter teaser-trailer of Ant-Man was released, but now Marvel enchanted us with the full-length variant. Variety reports that the latest trailer of the Marvel Comics based movie was released during Agent Carter premiere on ABC Tuesday night. After a glimpse over an apparently silent night scenery of a city, the trailer introduces caught-in-action thief Paul Rudd aka Scott Lang aka Ant-Man. Behind his status as a prisoner hides the voice of Michael Douglas, interpreting Hank Pym. The man has been watching the soon to become a hero Scott Lang for quite some time and he now offers to gift the character with a second chance, the chance to redeem his former sins by turning into Ant-Man. With the image of his daughter in mind, Scott eventually accepts to become Ant-Man, following the Hank Pym speech: ‘’This is your chance to earn that look in your daughter’s eyes, to become the hero that she already thinks you are.’’
Casting Paul Rudd as Ant-Man seems an amusing choice, and it will be impossible for Friends’ admirers not to see Mike Hannigan behind the image of the Marvel super-hero. His interventions in the trailer help create that amusing, joke cracking character. After the passionate definition given by Hank Pym to the symbols and significance of the hero, Scott Lang replies with the following: “One question: Is it too late to change the name?”
