Samsung Galaxy S6 Leaks Show Some Whopping Details

Samsung Galaxy S6 is one the most expected flagship handsets of 2015, and with all the fuss around it the pressure has produced some leaks in the system valves. All sorts of rumors and news are flying around with regards to this very-anticipated device, let’s see what whispers have been going around it.

According to a report from Bloomerg, Samsung made up its mind about using the 64-bit, next-gen Snapdragon 810 chip in the Galaxy S6. The overheating issues that have been reportedly on-going for many Samsung devices determined the Korean Manufacturer to ditch them and will be instead using one of its own Exynos chips on the new device.

Being the largest Android selling device line, the blow to Qualcomm is quite a big one. This is also a risky path that Samsung is threading on. The company has been using Exynos powered versions of its devices only inside South Korea, up until now. Implementing the change on its 2015 flagship for the whole world to use might not be that rewarding.

The case with the Exynos chips is quite different from the Qualcomm. They are usually ahead in raw computing power, but lack in graphic rendition. As the new Android Lollipop 5.0 is more demanding in terms of graphics, it might pose a problem for the Exynos processor. On top of it the Snapdragon chips are the standard for non-Apple devices and may pose a problem for app developers when prioritising app compatibility. In other words the Samsung Galaxy S6 might have some issues with app release dates and updates.

It quite hard to speculate how will these issues affect the new Samsung Galaxy S6. No clear assessment can be made until the actual release of the device. It might be case that Samsung is seeking to detach itself from Qualcomm in the long run, to increase autonomy and fuel the development of its own Tizen operating system. But as the saying goes, time will tell, and indeed it will.
