Purely accidental or not, Sony showed the world a glimpse of one of its upcoming products, the Xperia Z4 Tablet in the Xperia Lounge. As I said, it might be simply an erroneous move since the listing was pulled fast. Not too much detailing was given, except some reference to a high-resolution 2K screen (roughly 2,560 x 1,440) and a sort of vague Apple-like marketing presentation phrase such as “the latest ultra-fast processor”. This was added by “industry leading battery performance” and “lightweight premium body” which all seem promising when high-end tablets are concerned. Key-specs and further details such as size, weight, RAM or processing power are still obscured but it might be a 10-inch variant if we were to judge it by the name, therefore the device won’t be any slouch.
Putting it mildly, Sony had an unconvincing debut on the tablet front, but lately things have begun to look up with the latest models released. They’re slim, waterproof, have a high battery autonomy and possess some pretty high-quality screens. It was expected for Sony to launch the next-generation of devices, but it slipped the information that the Xperia Z4 Tablet will have its launch during the Mobile World Congress 2015. According to the leaked information on the Xperia Lounge, the Xperia Z4 Tablet has its date set for March 2 during the MWC 2015 so this means that there won’t be too much waiting around anymore. Thus far we can deduce from the sole image we have that there’s a slim body with metal frames, closely resembling the Xperia Z3 Tablet Compact design.
Two months ago during mid-December there was some scarce information that the Sony tablet range will have in its ranks a 13 inch UHD monster with a whopping 6 GB RAM. This is jaw-dropping to say the least, but since that time passed there is no new information about this mysterious product and there’s no official word if this monstrous tablet will debut at MWC 2015. Before the Xperia Z4 Tablet details were removed from the Xperia Lounge, there is screenshot that managed to slip through so see it here.
