Mission Impossible 5 – now known as Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation – salutes us with a brand new and full trailer of almost three minutes (2:41, to be more precise). On Saturday, a shorter variant of the trailer was released, a first-look spot of about one minute. Going by the name ‘’Rogue Nation’’, Mission Impossible 5 affects the Star Wars spin-off, whose previously chosen title is Rogue One. Fortunately, one will release a few month later – during summer – whereas the other is established to be released at the end of 2016.
Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation is the one being released in the summer of 2015 and the one whose full trailer has been released just today. The main ingredient of the trailer remains, as already established, actor Tom Cruise. While the yesterday released first-look spot took us directly into the core of the movie: dramatic scene with Tom Cruise being held hostage in a basement and heroically showing his combat skills in order to escape, the full trailer gives us context before giving us Tom Cruise. No worries, you are still given the chance to admire a shirtless Tom Cruise later on in the Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation full trailer.
Riding a motorbike at full speed with no helmet on, wearing only a shirt and fashionable sun-glasses is probably the best intro for a Mission Impossible kind of action. Chases are never out of the question, with typical blow-ups, which are used in order to zest the ambient of the picture. Further on, we see Tom Cruise aka agent Ethan Hunt running shirtless from a rain of bullets and Alec Baldwin posing the following question on a threatening tone: ‘’And I want you to choose your next words very carefully: Where is Hunt?’’ In reality, we see Hunt struggling to break with his bare hands a thick and apparently unbreakable glass door and the next thing we know is that he becomes the prisoner in the already mentioned basement.
Female character Rebecca Ferguson enters the scene with some bold fighting moves and she eventually becomes the perfect ally of Hunt, who when asked why he believes she is trustworthy, he ironically replies: ‘’Desperate times, desperate measures.’’ Furthermore, the Christopher McQuarrie directed picture proves that it is more than an action/ thriller movie, adding to its main line obvious tints of comedy and humor.
Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation will be released on 31 July 2015.
