Apple Watch 2
The Watch is predicted to be launched sometime in 2016, rather than the original prediction of December 2015. There should be some important upgrades to make the Apple Watch 2 much more independent from the iPhone.
Currently the Watch needs to tether to the iPhone for much of its functionality, the new Watch 2 should have its own Wi-Fi and be able to function alone, allowing its operating system to be able to run Apps on its own.
Also it is assumed that there will be a FaceTime camera which will allow you to make video calls on the phone
DxO One
DxO Labs are due to launch a tiny camera that will attach to the iPhone, it will have the ability to function as a real camera, taking much better pictures due to it 20 megapixel camera. The device will be no more than 3 inches in size and weigh next to nothing, it will have a 60 degree swivel which will allow you to take pictures in differing angles…great for selfies.
When you attach the DxO One to the iPhone it will automatically start running the programme to enable the camera to work. An amazing device and so small, this is the way forward for taking great pictures in low level light and more. The DxO One will not have a focus but instead is at such a great resolution that you will be able to crop and zoom the photo as you want.
X Box One
Microsoft is to release its new version of the Xbox One console, this will include 1TB of storage, a controller that will feature its own built in headset and also Halo. But don’t worry about buying the new upgrade and not being able to play your old games, it has backwards capability that allows the new Xbox One to play old games through a built in simulator, running the game through special software.
Google Asus Chromebit
A tiny stick that makes any LCD display a instant PC!
The Asus Chromebit fits in your pocket and can turn a TV, mobile, tablet or any type of LCD display into a personal computer by being able to run the type of software that you typically have installed on a computer. Its Google’s newest design and based on their Google Chrome browser and will combine with their Gmail and Google docs allowing people a easier and faster way to search and interact on the web. The Google Chromebit should be released this summer and is something to definitely keep an eye out for.
BrainPort V100
Now this one is a bit far out there, a headset that allows visually challenged people to convert vibrations that they feel on their tongue via a little device into images of their surroundings. The headset includes glasses that have a camera to take in data of what is in front of the person, then a small oral device that is flat and can sit on the tongue.
The tongue part of the device has electrodes that the software uses to convert the image taken in through the glasses into vibrations and tingles on the tongue. The user through experience has the ability to interpret these signals as images, such as the size, location, object, if it’s still or moving etc. An incredibly intriguing device that could change the lives of many.
