It takes a lot to be named as one of the most influential people in the world. We have compiled a list of those people and their notable works, the good and bad.
1. Pope Francis
Currently the oldest most influential person at 79. He is Pope of the Roman Catholic Church. Pope Francis is known for his humility and for being less formal then other predecessors. He has also been very vocal in on his concerns about the poor and the church being open and welcoming to everyone.
2. Vladimir Putin
In 1999, Boris Yeltsin resigned from the presidency and appointed Putin to be the acting president. His first official term as Russia’s president was in 2000 wherein he got more than half of the votes. He is known for having an iron fist when it comes to governing his country. In 2015, Putin ordered the Russian military to bomb ISIS forces in Syria to help destroy the evil group in the city of Palmyra.
