The Gone girl drama, directed by David Fincher, is the story of the modern marriage. Nick, played by Ben Affleck, and Amy, played by Rosamund Pike are the perfect couple, as it may seem to the outside world. In fact, the movie shows how dark relationships really are and how even family or the closest friends have no idea of what’s really going on. Or even better, how mysterious one person can be to their partner. The movie starts with Nick arriving home just to find out that his wife is missing. And so, the movie continues with the desperate search for Amy. The public will be able to watch scenes from her diary which portray the evolution of her relationship with Nick, from the joyful beginning , following with the deterioration of their marriage.

The producers of the movie have managed successfully to shorten up the book and presented only the essential part of it, Nick’s and Amy marriage, the consequences of her disappearance and how this is affecting the husband. Ben Affleck was the right actor to play this role because of his casual air mixed with flashes of temper, which will make the public think, what if Nick actually killed his wife? Rosamund, who’s playing the wife was the perfect choice for the role. She perfectly managed to capture her character’s terror and duplicity. The movie will open in theaters October 3rd.
