Actor George Clooney aged 53, one of the sexiest men alive and one of the most eligible bachelors from Hollywood, got married September 27 in Venice, Italy with British human rights lawyer Amal Alamuddin, aged 36. The star arrived on a taxi boat at the Aman Canal Grande Venice resort which is housed in the Palazzo Papadopoli, a 16th-century old building. Celebrities, media and paparazzi have all gathered in Venice, Italy to celebrate George Clooney’s wedding. The couple was spotted on Friday cruising on Venice’s canals just before they tied the knot.
Clooney, together with his soon to be wife looked very glamorous as they were transported around Venice’s canals in a taxi boat properly named ‘Love’ or ‘Amore’. Alamuddin was wearing a fashionable black and white dress while Clooney was dressed in a gray suit and white shirt with dark sunglasses. The first guests that arrived at the wedding were actor Matt Damon, Vogue editor Anna Wintour and the supermodel Cindy Crawford. To mark the event, Venice’s city authorities said that the city hall area will be closed on Monday from 12 pm to 2 pm local time due to George Clooney’s wedding.
George Clooney announced that he will be marrying the beautiful Amal Alamuddin a few weeks ago, at a black tie gala where he received a humanitarian award. The paparazzi, photographers and cameramen camped on the docks facing the Aman Canal Grande to get better shots of the newly-weds. As a conclusion, Clooney managed to charm the Venetians this past weekend with his wedding and to top it all, the weather in Venice has been wonderful. With the wedding celebrations being over now, Clooney and his wife will have their marriage registered by Monday with Venice City Hall.
