If the highly permissive world of nowadays would end up labeling public figures on the music scene as eccentric, Marilyn Manson would definitely be a top-list choice. No, Lady Gaga would not rank as first on the list, as her level of extravagance is incomparably lower and less established in comparison to Manson’s queerness. Of course, Alice Cooper and Rob Zombie would be fighting with Manson for the top position.
The Antichrist Superstar seems restless in his mission of spreading his industrial neo-goth musical message to the crowds, domineering The Beautiful People. His latest album is set for release at the end of January 2015. The ninth studio album by Marilyn Manson bears the name The Pale Emperor and includes ten tracks. “Third Day Of A Seven Day Binge” is, as the title subtly suggests, the third on the disc and has been available for about a month.
Samples of the album were offered to the Southern Californian public in October and early November, during a scheduled set of concerts. Probably the most controversial of them all was the one which occurred in the most haunted night of the year, Halloween (although, if Marilyn Manson is playing, you have Halloween, all right, any day of the year – and he does not necessarily have to sing ”This Is Halloween” in order to get fans into motion). For that particular concert, Manson ‘’trick-or-treated’’ his public with two great surprises: Johnny Depp and Ninja from Die Antwoord (South African rap-rave group) as guests for ”The Beautiful People” song. The gig was not the first encounter of the much-appreciated actor with Marilyn Manson fans, as he had accompanied the rock star with his guitar riffs before.
Here is a sample of ”The Beautiful People” from the Halloween night concert:
