Pictures of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 running the newest Android 5.0 Lollipop have surfaced on line, the release date for the update nearing. Since we’ve already found instances of Android 5.0 Lollipop running on the Galaxy S5 and its predecessor, the time has come to take a look at what Samsung did with TouchWiz and Android 5.0 Lollipop on the Galaxy Note 4. While TouchWiz isn’t the favorite UI of all, we had expected Samsung to revamp the design and interface a little bit. From what we’ve seen so far, the company did a pretty good job.

The Galaxy Note 4 is one of the greatest releases from Samsung ever, and many are calling the behemoth Note phablet the smartphone with the best display out there. TouchWiz for the Galaxy Note 4 even got better once the update was released, renouncing some of the colorful clutter in favor of a useful, revamped S-Pen application that you can toy around with – or do actual work with. The Galaxy Note 4 nonetheless would benefit from Android 5.0 Lollipop and its new features. Samsung has finally tweaked TouchWiz for the Galaxy Note 4 running Android 5.0 Lollipop, and it doesn’t look so bad.

TouchWiz Nature UX 3.0 was spotted on the Galaxy Note 4 and the revamped UI actually takes advantage of the crowd-favorite Material Design of Android 5.0 Lollipop. The Galaxy Note 4 will be among the first Samsung devices to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update, so an early firmware version of TouchWiz for the phablet was expected to show up somewhere. The Android 5.0 Lollipop update release date for the Galaxy Note 4 is pegged for this month, as is the Galaxy S5 update, so we should see two great flagships receiving the Lollipop treatment soon enough. While we don’t have an official date for the update release, we do think next week would be the perfect timing.
