The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus improves on everything that his little brother, the Samsung Galaxy S5 has done. Considering that Samsung will soon release the Galaxy S6, though, it seems like the Galaxy S5 Plus is a good starting point. Basically, the package remains the same but the contents of it have been significantly enhanced.
This improved counterpart is just getting warmed up in the Netherlands. The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus does not have a new design though it does come with a lot more tweaks such as a boosted processor. The 2,5 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 801 has been replaced by a more powerful 2.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon 805. This is Qualcomm’s most efficient chipset currently. So, if you have a Galaxy Note 4 then maybe you know about how fast it can get. Not to mention that it can now support Cat. 6 LTE (LTE- Advanced). This feature will likely ensure great download speeds effectively doubling the speed of the Galaxy S5. So it could reach speeds of up to 300Mbps thanks to the upgraded 4G. It still raises one question and that is whether Samsung will continue selling both the Samsung Galaxy S5 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus knowing that the latter is a significant improvement. We’ll just have to wait to see, but judging from the S5’s recent release maybe that’s still a long way off.
The rest of the specs for the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus are unchanged. We have the 5.1 inch 1080p screen, a 16 megapixel camera and memory-wise we have 2GB RAM. You won’t have to charge your phone neither as the lenghty battery life ensures a high sustainability. Speaking of price, the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is currently tagged for 599 euros. Up until now, the phone has been made available in the Netherlands but maybe soon the rest of the world will profit from this release. An official Galaxy S5 Plus release date hasn’t been revealed, but since Europe can already benefit from the enhanced model, we might see it come overseas soon.
