One of the most anticipated mobile phone releases of 2015, the HTC One M9 “Hima”, is expected to make its appeareance at the 2015 MWC show, at the beginning of March. Considering its predecesor, the HTC One M8, which ended up being a smashing hit on the market, we wouldn’t expect anything less from its upcoming “brood”.
It is most likely, according to @upleaks, that HTC will drop the M codenames, and the phone will simply be refered to as “Hima”. Considering the cycle of launching flagship phones, HTC will most likely put the HTC One M9 Hima on the market several weeks after the MWC show. As for Microsoft enthusiasts, HTC is rumored to prepare a Windows version of the HTC One M9 “Hima” to be launched in the middle of 2015.
The price discussion on the new HTC One M9 “Hima” is quite straight-forward. HTC is constant with its pricing techniques, if we are to consider the two predecesors of the HTC Hima. The HTC One M7 went on sale for roughly 630 euros, afterwards going down to 580 euros. As for the HTC One M8 its original price was that of aproximately 680 euros, going cheaper if one would look around for deals. The expected retail price for the new HTC One M9 “Hima”, considering the next-gen flagship specs, should revolve between 650 – 750 euros.
Spec wise, again according to a leak from @upleaks, the HTC One M9 “Hima” is rumored to have a 5 inch 1080p display. The chip, a Snapdragon 810, packs an octa-core processor with 4 Cortex-A57 cores running at 2.0 Ghz and 4 Cortex A-53 at 1.5 Ghz, Adreno 430 GPU and 3GB of RAM. The rear-facing camera packs 20.7 MP while the battery has 2 840mAh. There is little talk about the acctual design of the new HTC One M9 “Hima”, but rumors have it that it will be just 7mm thin, which is very slim considering its octa-core package and its large HD display. Even though the whole design remains a mistery, word has it that HTC will give its new flagship three color options: gray, silver, gold, looking a lot like what Apple had to offer.
