Moto G 2014 Android Lollipop Bugs Will Stick For a While

The Moto G 2014 had a front seat for the Android Lollipop 5.0.2 update. That does not however mean it was all-around a pleasant experience. Devices in the U.S. have been receiving this update as of earlier this month, but it seems that even though if it didn’t brig any new bugs, it didn’t fix any of the old “roaches”.

The Moto G 2014 and a score of other handsets have been experiencing a whole array of issues ever since the first major update for the Lollipop 5.0. Some of the issues are seen in the line of a memory leak bug and issues with battery drain, on top of which we add the problems added by the 5.0.1 version of Android. Hopes were high among Android users that the 5.0.2 update would fix these issues, but the reality was quite different. The update only included minor fixes in regards with storage management and internal alarms.

Google stated that is up to speed with the problems on the OS and that they are working, as we speak, on a new update to resolve the issues. As such, Moto G 2014 and other Motorola devices users should remain patient as to expect the Android 5.0.3 Lollipop, as their handsets will be among the first in line to receive it. An official release date for the Lollipop 5.0.3 hasn’t been made public by Google, but some inside sources claim that it won’t be ready until the end of January, so expect it somewhere in February. Even though the Lollipop version brings a lot of goodies on the table, Moto G 2014 users and everyone who has the possibility to upgrade to 5.0, but still are on KitKat 4.4.4 are advised to stick to it until the new Lollipop update rolls out. Once this happens, we will make sure to bring to your attention!
